About Asia Telemedicine Society
Advancing telemedicine and digital health across Asia since 2025
The remarkable advances in information and communication technology, smart technology, and artificial intelligence are fundamentally reshaping the healthcare landscape today. Healthcare, whose accessibility has long been constrained by time and space, has now reached a new turning point at which it can expand into personalized and preventive services based on the latest medical knowledge, available anytime and anywhere.
In step with these changes, the Asia Telemedicine Society (ATS) seeks to lead the advancement of telemedicine and digital healthcare and to create a forum for exchange and collaboration that closely connects academia and industry, as well as research and clinical practice. We believe that technological progress should amount to more than the emergence of new tools; it should become an opportunity to provide better healthcare to more people.
Asia is a region experiencing dynamic demographic and social changes while also leading innovation in advanced technologies. Against this backdrop, Asia possesses the capabilities and potential to lead the future of telemedicine and, furthermore, to present a new paradigm for healthcare worldwide. At the center of this effort, ATS seeks to share knowledge and experience and work together to build a healthier future for humanity through innovation and solidarity.
Our Mission
To contribute to the realization of a connected healthcare environment in which telemedicine helps reduce healthcare disparities and enables equitable access to quality healthcare services across Asia. To lead the sustainable development of telemedicine in Asia through technological innovation and the promotion of international collaboration, and to contribute to shaping the future healthcare paradigm. To strengthen collaborative networks among academia, industry, and government, and to contribute to improving health across Asia through the development of an inclusive digital healthcare ecosystem.
